New Classes: 

1) Gentle Flow Yoga (beginner friendly)
Taught by: Piril Atabay
Saturday: 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
8 week session: Mar. 2nd – Apr. 20th
Cost :: $15/class
A Vinyasa class, the flowing form of yoga. Focus is placed on the breath, proper alignment, and listening to the body to help the student incorporate the practice as their own. Classes are held in our salt therapy room. Call to reserve a spot.
2) Chair Yoga
Taught by: Piril Atabay
Saturday: 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
8 week session: Mar. 2nd – Apr. 20th
Cost :: $120
Class Description: This safe and slower-moving class is designed for participants with physical challenges. We work gently to increase range of motion in shoulders, back, hips and legs to develop better balance, core awareness, flexibility and breath awareness. Learn to protect and strengthen the joints of the body to experience renewed movement and ease and joy especially beneficial for arthritic joints. Chairs will also be used in many or all poses as well as other props. Standing and seated yoga poses specially adapted for all levels will be taught. Continued attendance to yoga classes is strongly recommended to gain all the benefits yoga can offer. Please call the spa 517-323-4331 to sign up. Full payment will be due on Mar. 2nd.

Before Class

  • Arrive 15 minutes before your first class in order to register and meet the instructor
  • Sign in at lobby desk
  • Communicate with the instructor if you have had a recent injury or surgery
  • Leave shoes and personal belongings in lobby shoe rack and cubby holes
  • Please be on your mat and ready to practice prior to the listed class time
  • No late arrivals or early departures (unless you are on-call and discuss with the instructor before class)
  • No cell phones, bags, or other items in the studio – mats, towels and water bottles only

What to Bring

  • Yoga mat (you may rent or purchase)
  • Towel (you may rent)
  • Bottle of water (available for purchase)
  • Street shoes are not permitted in the studio.
